Already previous leaks they revealed the fact, that Redmi is quietly developing the second generation of its an affordable tablet. Current leaks reveal what specifications we could expect.
We have the first specifications
Acknowledged informant Kacper Skrzypek on the social network Twitter revealed some key specifications of the Redmi Pad 2 tablet, but the authenticity of the information cannot be verified yet, we will have to wait until the official presentation.
His sources say that Redmi will abandon MediaTek processors in the second generation and deploy their competition from Qualcomm, specifically it should be a mid-range chipset Snapdragon 680.
#RedmiPad2:
- Snapdragon 680
– display 235,8 x 147,4 mm (~10,95"), LCD, 90 Hz, 1200 x 1920 px
– 8 Mpx main camera, 5 Mpx front camera
- Android 13- Kacper Skrzypek 🇵🇱 (@kacskrz) May 21, 2023
This is not entirely good news, as the use of this processor indicates a potential decrease in overall performance compared to his predecessor, which had a MediaTek Helio G99 processor.
The Helio G99 chipset offers 16% more graphics performance and tends to outperform the Snapdragon 680 by around 35% in the AnTuTu performance test.
The display does not surprise
Kacper Skrzypek further says that the display will have a diagonal 10,95-inch and will continue to type IPS LCD with resolution 1 x 920 pixels. Fortunately, it will be preserved 90-hertz refresh rate, so the feeling of use will be at a high level.

Redmi Pad 2 will get 8-megapixel rear camera and the selfie camera will have a relatively low resolution of only 5 Mpx. It should still be noted that the price tag will be somewhere around 250 euros.
Latest Android 13
The owner should receive the latest operating system right out of the box Android 13 together with a rich superstructure MIUI 14. Other details are currently unavailable.
However, it is interesting that the tablet has already passed CEE certification with model number 23073RPBFG and name Redmi M84. We can expect the tablet in the coming months.
