Just some time ago, Xiaomi introduced a new the Pad 6 series of tablets. Now it's time again for Redmi, which is preparing a new generation Redmi Pad. The device passed the first certification.
Spotted in CEE certification
That certification is called EEC and the model number is 23073RPBFG along with the title Redmi M84. The final letter G indicates global sales again. The first Redmi Pad is not such a popular model, as most potential customers preferred to go for the more expensive one Xiaomi pad 5.
It lacked some key improvements, especially support for an external keyboard. The new Redmi Pad should follow in the footsteps of its predecessor, so it will offer great price-performance ratio. So it is inspired in many ways by the current Xiaomi tablets.
Unfortunately, the CEE certification did not reveal anything important, all we know is that it will again be a global model, moreover, it is quite likely that we will be able to see it sometime during the period the third quarter of 2023.
What do we expect?
So we could get, following the example of the predecessor IPS LCD display with a diagonal of about 10 inches and a minimum of s 90-hertz refresh rate and Full HD resolution.
Apparently, the new Redmi Pad will again come with a processor from the company MediaTek, which will ensure sufficient performance. Redmi will also show its qualities in the premium-looking aluminum design, with which the first generation also scored points.
However, we do not expect the use of an original external keyboard or stylus, because it would directly compete with the more expensive models of the Xiaomi Pad 6 series. We also probably won't see security in the form of a fingerprint reader.
It seems that Xiaomi wants to jump-start sales in the tablet category again, and 2023 is crucial for that. We'll see how the devices fare after some time.
