Spoločnosť Xiaomi issued a report in which it reveals which Xiaomi brand smartphones and Redmi already will not receive further updates. This is a fairly broad list, which you can also view now.
Updates for Xiaomi smartphones: How to do it?
The end of software support awaits sooner or later every Android smartphone. This also applies to security and system updates for Xiaomi, Redmi whether POCO smartphones. However, the Chinese manufacturer has prepared a website where it regularly updates the list of devices that are no longer officially supported.
It is a relatively simple solution that will provide you with all the necessary information about how your model is doing with updates. You can find the Xiaomi Security Center, as the aforementioned official website is called at the following link.
The regularly updated list will include smartphones or tablets from brands Xiaomian, Redmi a POCO. So if you want to find out if your product is still supported, just visit us this website. On this page there is even a specific section that includes support information for various smart gadgets or IoT products from the Xiaomi ecosystem.
How long will my smartphone receive updates?
Xiaomi has also created on its website a list of current models for which it indicates the length of time for providing updates. These are devices that have the so-called AER (Android Enterprise Recommended) certification directly from Google.
For each model, the frequency of updates, the date the product was introduced to the market, the end date of security updates, and also the version of the Android system that the given smartphone will receive as the latest, are indicated.
For example, the Xiaomi 13T Pro model will be updated for 5 years, receiving the last security update in the 7th month of 2028. This model will end up on Android 16.
