Introducing the first gaming smartphone from Redmi is probably already around the corner. Recently Redmi published gif, which shows an interesting slider to illuminate the camera module. Now it has given us more information about the processor, which we will find in the upcoming Redmi K40 Game Edition.
It will be MediaTek
Unlike the flagships of the Xiaomi Mi 11 series, where the manufacturer deployed the currently most powerful Snapdragon 888, in the new upcoming Redmi we should expect the best processor from the Chinese MediaTek workshop.
Specifically, it will be an 8-core processor MediaTek Dimensity 1200. This processor is made with 6-nanometer technology, able to achieve maximum frequency 3 GHz. It will be followed by a graphics core from the same manufacturer named MediaTek APU 3.0.
The processor is 25% more economical like the previous generation and the expected is not missing support 5G networks. The manufacturer also published the result of the AnTuTu benchmark on the poster, where the smartphone from Redmi achieved the result 724 points.
This data surpasses the other smartphones of the Xiaomi Mi 11 series with the Snapdragon 888, which reaches 710 points and, for example, Redmi The K40 Pro + scores 719 points.
With this performance, Redmi K40 Game Edition ranks among the most powerful smartphones on the market. Even this performance is not enough for its direct competitor, which is a gaming smartphone Asus Rog Phone 5. It reaches up to 888 points in a configuration with Snapdragon 16 and 729 GB RAM.
In addition, it is expected that this first gaming mobile phone Redmi will add a fairly advanced cooling system as well as other high-end technologies such as LPDDR5 RAM or UFS 3.1 storage.
Gaming smartphones are becoming more and more popular. In addition to Asus, Lenovo also has its gaming smartphones in the form of Legion Duel 2. Let's not forget the parent company Xiaomi, which recently introduced its Black Shark 4 Pro. You can see their comparison in this article.
It will be interesting to see which smartphone from the Xiaomi workshop and Redmi will do better. The price of the device can also play a big role.
