Our favorite Chinese tech giant Xiaomi is expanding its product portfolio with another category. It is the world of 3D printers that welcomes the first novelty of this brand under the name Xiaomi Mijia 3D Printer.

With 3D printing, you can transform a design from a digital design into a solid three-dimensional physical object. We know two types of 3D printing – SLA respectively stereolithography and FDM (Fused Deposition Modelling) / FFF (Fused Filament Manufacturing).
SLA technology uses a laser to cure a photoreactive resin, while FDM technology relies on adding layers of filament at high temperature.

And the new model also uses SLA printing technology using hardened resin Xiaomi Mijia 3D printer. It is a device of the type Plug & Play, which does not require any further assembly. It is enough to take the device out of the box and start using it. As a result, you do not need any additional equipment, e.g. for drying the product.
The printer is equipped with a professional and intelligent cartridge management system, with an independent magazine and automatic dosing. It is also an advantage closed box, in which the SLA printing technology itself takes place.
The manufacturer also thought about ease of use, and the fact is that you don't have to learn any new cutting procedures. The software designed for planning is based on artificial intelligence and facilitates shaping and cutting, as well as cumbersome manual adjustments of the final design.
Stability during printing is ensured by the guide rail Z axis, which is adapted to a powerful electric motor. In addition, the resin used for printing is washable, safe and environmentally friendly. It is non-toxic, practically odorless and does not require cleaning with alcohol in case of pollution.
Price and availability of a new product
3D printer with label Xiaomi Mijia 3D Printer is starting to be sold on the Chinese market. The official selling price stopped at 1699 Chinese yuan. In the current conversion, this amounts to approximately €217. However, we do not yet have any further information on possible global availability.
