Spoločnosť Xiaomi officially introduced its flagship model Smart TV with the designation Xiaomi Mi QLED TV 4K 55 with 4K resolution, 55 obrazovky screen diagonal and support for HDR10 + technology. The performance took place on the Indian market.
New OLED Smart TV: Xiaomi Mi QLED TV 4K 55
New Smart TV with the label Xiaomi Mi QLED TV 4K 55, which will fall into the category of premium TVs from Xiaomi. The Mi QLED TV 4K 55 will become the first QLED Xiaomi television in the country, due to the Indian official performance.
The equipment includes a 55 ″ QLED panel with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels (4K), 100% NTSC color gamut, 95% DCI-P3 color gamut and a screen to front wall ratio of up to 96%.
The panel supports HDR standards such as Dolby Vision, HDR10 +, HDR10 and HLG. However, the screen does not include a local dimming function. The TV supports Reality Flow (MEMC) and Vivid Picture Engine (a proprietary display profile enhancement).
Another advantage is the metal frame of the device, which is very thin, and the rear part is made of carbon fibers. There is a metal stand that is included in the package, but the holder for hanging on the wall is sold separately. The standard mount is priced at INR 499 (5,57 € / 6,77 USD ), while revolving up to 1999 Indian Rupees (22,30 € / USD 27,13).
Android 10 and 30W speakers
In terms of performance, the MediaTek MT9611 chipset is available, along with the Mali-G52 MP2 graphics accelerator. It is complemented by 2 GB of RAM or 32 GB of internal storage.
The equipment also includes a 30W audio system, which contains a total of six speakers (4 x wideband + 2 x tweeters). They operate in the frequency range of 50 - 20 kHz and there is also support for Dolby Audio and DTS-HD.
The TV uses Android TV 10, which includes a built-in Google Play app store, Chromecast and Google Assistant. Like other Xiaomi TVs, there is a PatchWall extension in version v3.4. The package also includes a minimalist remote control known from other Mi TV models.
In terms of connectivity, there is dual Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, 3 x HDMI 2.1 (with eARC support and 5 ms delay at 4K / 60 fps), 2 x USB 2.0 (USB-A), Ethernet (RJ45), 1 x optical AV connector and 3,5 mm audio connector.
Other features include Mi Quick Wake (quick start in less than 5 seconds), Mi Quick Mute (press the volume key twice to mute the sound) and Mi Quick Settings (press and hold the corresponding key to access the settings). The TV should support all streaming services available in India, and Discovery + or Lionsgate Play should be added soon.
Price and availability
Xiaomi Mi QLED TV 4K 55 will start at 54 Indian rupees (999 € / 748 USD). Through online retailers, sales will start as early as December 21, 2020. Selected retailers will also offer special introductory events, so it can be advantageous to buy a TV right in the first wave.
