The range of Xiaomi electric scooters is expanding with a new model. It is specifically about Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Lite (second generation), which, after the Chinese introduction, is now also coming to Europe, in official distribution.
The main advantage of the second generation is the battery with a higher capacity, which also results in a longer range per charge. Despite this, it retains the traditional construction of metal materials, which still offers a foldable design, for carrying especially in urban environments.
The electric scooter keeps the user's carrying capacity at a value 100 kilograms. However, her weight has increased slightly this time 16,2 kilograms.
E-ABS technology and up to 9600 mAh battery
In terms of performance, the scooter offers maximum speed 25 km/h and the choice of three driving modes. It also has a walking mode, designed for walking with the scooter moving next to the body. The power of the electric motor stopped at the value 300W, and is placed on the back wheel of the scooter.
Safety is ensured by a reliable braking system that combines E-ABS as well as drum brakes. They are supplemented with 10" tires, suitable for different types of terrain. There is also a front light to improve visibility in the dark, as well as an integrated display that shows the speed or battery status. You can also monitor this data using the Mi Home application.
The integrated battery has a capacity of 9600 mAh. It offers a range of 25 kilometers per charge. This is an improvement of the resulting range by up to 25%, compared to the previous model, i.e. the first generation Scooter 4 Lite. A full charge with the included charger will then take about 8 hours.
Price and availability of a new electric scooter
New in the form of the second generation Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Lite is located on the company's official website, but without indicating the start of sales. The estimated retail price is €400.
However, if we look at the offer of other Slovak sellers, outside of the official Xiaomi website, we can already find the scooter in the offer nay.sk e-shop. The selling price is also surprising, which is significantly lower than the estimated one, and amounts to 299 €.
