The most subjective part will definitely be the design. We believe that both devices will appeal to you with their appearance and construction. Xiaomi has a glossy finish and OnePlus matte again. The most significant difference will be the diagonal itself. OnePlus 12 is significantly larger and offers 6,82 inch resolution display 1440 x 3168 px. Xiaomi 14 is more suitable for lovers of more compact smartphones - it has 6,36 inch display with resolution 1200 x 2670 px. It is protected by a glass Corning Gorilla Glass Foods. OnePlus has a newer version of this slide, Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
As for the resulting subtlety of the image, you won't notice the differences. OnePlus has a density of approx 510 ppi, by whom Xiaomi offers 460 ppi. In both cases it is about LTPO YOU ARE panels with 120 Hz refresh rate, display support HDR10 + content and there is also technology Dolby Vision.
While the maximum brightness of the screen Xiaomi 14 achieves 3000 rivets, OnePlus 12 handily defeats the flagship from the Chinese giant with its extremely bright with 4500 rivets panel. What can be a decisive factor for you is the operating system, or its graphic superstructure. Xiaomi 14 uses HyperOS. If you own an ecosystem of products from this manufacturer's workshop, the connection between them will probably be important to you, and you should choose Xiaomi. OnePlus 12 it then has a system that is a bit more like pure Android. In the global version, it is of course about OXYGEN.
There is a large amount of additional functionality on both sides. The length of software support is the same in both cases. You'll get 4 major Android updates and 5 years of delivering the latest security patches. The phones currently have the latest installed Android 14.
Elite cameras are available
If we were talking about cameras, it is impossible to directly say which of the smartphones takes better photos without a direct comparison. We think it would be just right Xiaomi with its advanced post-processing developed with the company Leica, but we cannot confirm that for sure.
OnePlus he worked with the brand on fine-tuning the colors and other visual aspects of the photos Hasselblad and its hardware lineup also looks pretty promising. These are the paper specifications of the individual sensors:

OnePlus however, it is larger and its display will likely use more power. Support for fast charging, whether wired or wireless, will please.

The final decision should depend mainly on the price difference. Xiaomi 14 with a smaller display that is better controlled with one hand and offers a better ecosystem, it costs about 200-300 € more.
If your preference is a superstructure HyperOS and communication between several other supported devices in your home, so the extra payment is worth it. It is possible that its cameras are also better, but as we have already mentioned, we cannot evaluate this for sure without a direct comparison.
OnePlus 12 however, it is a more than capable competitor that offers a larger display and essentially similar parameters. In addition, the performance could be comparable to Xiaomi and you will also save a lot on it.
