Just a few days ago, the company Xiaomi officially announced, when it will present a new series of lightweight flagships called Xiaomi 13T. In addition to great equipment, we also have the longest software support from this manufacturer.
Xiaomi already surprised with the Chinese smartphone Redmi K60 Ultra, where he currently promises 4 years of major Android updates and 5 years of security patches.
Xiaomi 13T series will receive 4 major Android updates
Since we know that the Xiaomi 13T Pro model will basically be the global version of this Chinese Redmi, it already indicated to us that Xiaomi will choose the same policy of updates in the global field.
We are proud to announce a significant enhancement to our commitment to providing exceptional software support. Xiaomi 13T and Xiaomi 13T Pro will include 4 generations of Android OS upgrades, as well as 5 years of security patches.

And indeed it happened. He announced it on the social network X (formerly Twitter). Daniel Desjarlais, who is the director of global communications for the Xiaomi brand.
Longer support was already requested
So it is officially confirmed, which is great news for fans of the brand and potential buyers of the Xiaomi 13T series. Long-term support means that your smartphone will last much longer and still have up-to-date functions and gadgets.

Specifically, we should use simple math to work out that both smartphones, Xiaomi 13T and Xiaomi 13T Pro, will come to the market with Android 13 and MIUI 14.
Android 17 with MIUI 18
So that should mean that it will be their final stop Android 17 and MIUI 18 superstructure, of course, if the big Chinese giant doesn't somehow change the numbering or nomenclature by then.

Xiaomi is apparently starting a new era of update length, at least as far as flagship models are concerned. Xiaomi Series 14, which should be introduced in China at the end of this year, will also have the same software support, according to speculation.
Xiaomi called the big tech giants
The Chinese giant thus caught up with company updates Samsung or Google, but Apple still loses to that, because the software support there is even longer.

How do you like this kind of software support from Xiaomi? Would you welcome it with other smartphones as well? Do you think Xiaomi will continue this tradition with cheaper smartphones?
