Redmi Note 12S: The global version will offer AMOLED and 33 W charging
New under the label Redmi Note 12S joins a series of devices that includes the base model Redmi Notes 12, as well as recently launched Redmi Note 12 Pro and other smartphones. Key technical specifications have appeared on the manufacturer's global website, but with no release date.
The design of the new model follows on from its siblings from the twelfth generation. The rear camera module is made in black and it is this element that adds a unique touch to the device, to the style POCO X5 5G. The dimensions of the device are 159,87 x 73,87 x 8,09 mm and the weight is 176 grams.
The change occurred on the front side. As the only model from the current series, it offers a slightly smaller display. 6,67″ panel replaced in this case AMOLED display about size 6,43 ". It has a refresh rate on par 90 Hz, Full HD+ resolution (2400 x 1080 pixels) and a maximum brightness of up to 1000 nits.
Inside is the processor MediaTek Helio G96, which is also supplemented with a Mali-G57 MC2 graphics chip, 6 / 8 HB of LPDDR4X type RAM and fast UFS 2.2 storage with a capacity of 128 / 256 GB. There is also storage expansion using a microSD memory card up to 1 TB (editor's note: separate slot). On the software side, Android 13 is available, as well as the MIUI 14 graphic superstructure from the manufacturer.
Other equipment includes a 3,5 mm audio connector for connecting wired headphones, as well as Dual SIM 4G connectivity or an infrared port for controlling home electronics. The battery has a capacity of 5000 mAh and will support 33 W fast charging.
Stereo speakers and 108 MPx camera
