The Chinese manufacturer has prepared for us a renewal of the modern dark mode, this time marked "2.0". However, this is not all and the new update will also bring an improved font, ie the system font, as well as the thickness of the font. It will even adjust automatically.
Dark mode 2.0
The updated dark mode will continue and will offer not only a darkened system interface, but also a global dark mode for 42 system applications and 20 other third-party applications.
In addition, the "2.0" version will introduce new color selection algorithms, resulting in more natural darkening adapted to different shades.
This dark mode will be able to more accurately recognize every element and text within the interface. In this way, it is not just a matter of color inversion, but of adapting each element separately, regardless of its shade.
The new technology is called "Anti-Color Lab" and brings algorithms that achieve better adaptation to shades of gray based on HSV colors.
The function also brings adaptation to the light. Whether day or night, automatic and intelligent adjustment of the contrast and brightness of the elements in the interface will be available.
The purpose of the updated function is to prevent too strong light in low light, without the user having to resort to changing the display mode or brightness setting.
The novelty should work similarly in the opposite case, in daylight.
Font and its thickness
Recognition of ambient light will result in an adjustment of the contrast and the font itself. If this is not enough, the new dark mode will also be able to adjust the font size and thickness for optimal reading.
In this way, it enlarges and roughens the font in strong light, while it will automatically be thinner and smaller in low light.
