Xiaomi again surprised the technological world. Similar to the case videos with a folding smartphone, again this time they published a video out of nowhere that demonstrates the latest technological shift in the company. This time, they demonstrated the fastest charging of smartphones in the world.
Crazy 100 W fast charging
A video published by Xiaomi co-founder Lin Bin began circulating on the Chinese social network Weibo. The video demonstrates the fastest smartphone charging technology we've ever seen. They called her Super charge turbo.
Xiaomi has been working on it for several months and the smartphone is charging up to 100 W. This is twice as fast charging as Oppo's fastest SuperVOOC (50 W) technology to date. In the video we can see a prototype of a smartphone with 4000 mAh battery, which is from 0 to 100% recharged for crazy 17 minutes!
Redmi will be behind the mass production
In the new Super Charge Turbo charging technology, the separate brand Redmi also has its fingers. Shortly after the video was published, it was shared by the current director of the Redmi brand, Lu Weibing. He wasn't exactly talkative, but he said he was Redmi will be involved in the mass production of this technology.
No further details are known yet on when we could see the new charging in a real product. However, it is likely to be part of an upcoming new release with the Snapdragon 855 chipset. The new smartphone could carry the Redmi brand.
However, as Lu Weibing recently stated, we will still wait for the Redmi smartphone with Snapdragon 855. Maybe just because of the development of a new charge.
