New from the workshop Xiaomi comes as a brand new product for a global customer in Europe. However, if we take a closer look at the new gaming monitor, we will find that it is directly based on the previously introduced Chinese model, known as Redmi Display G Pro 27″. However, this is nothing exceptional and such "rebranding" is offered by the Chinese brand quite often.
In the equipment, it offers a diagonal of 27" and a total resolution 2560 x 1440 pixels. As for the panel itself, it offers very good viewing angles, IPS LCD technology, as well as a high refresh rate of up to 180 Hz. However, this panel is straight, not curved, which may bother some fans of gaming titles.
If we look at the differences compared to competing models, there is no shortage up to 1152 zones local dimming, which, together with Mini LED technology, help achieve a maximum brightness of up to 1000 nits. Certification support is also a big advantage VESA DisplayHDR 1000.
In addition, the Mini LED Gaming Monitor G offers an excellent GtG response (Gray-to-gray), at the level of only 1 ms, as well as 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut. In terms of connectivity, the situation is favorable, and includes two DisplayPort ports as well as an HDMI connector.
Price and availability of the new gaming monitor
Xiaomi Mini LED Gaming Monitor G Pro 27i will arrive in Europe through official distribution in the next few weeks. However, despite the published technical specifications, we do not yet know information about the date of the start of sales or the official selling price. We only know its model designation, which is P27QBA-RGPGL.
However, we can start from the aforementioned Chinese Redmi 27″ monitor, which is sold for 1999 Chinese Yuan, i.e. about €254. If we add the extra functions and costs associated with importation, we can expect a selling price in the range approx. 300-400 €.
