Spoločnosť Xiaomi brings an update for the popular robotic vacuum cleaner called Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop P. Offers to save multiple maps.
Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop P: New software update
A very popular model Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop P is increasingly spreading in official distribution to other countries. Xiaomi has only recently launched this product in the Indian market. At the request of several fans, the manufacturer decided to bring a software update.
The Chinese manufacturer states in a press release information that the firmware update with the official version designation 3.5.8_0035 brings support for scanning multiple maps into the memory of a robotic vacuum cleaner.
After the new one, it will be possible to store up to 10 different maps, which can be practical especially in office spaces. So far, this model has only supported one map, and if it wanted to scan a new space, the original map had to be replaced and permanently deleted.
Immediately after the successful installation of the new firmware, it is necessary to proceed in the following steps.
The procedure is really very simple:
- Open the Mi Home application and select the appropriate device (Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop P).
- Select the three-dot character at the top right and then the firmware update option.
- After the update, restart the application and the vacuum cleaner itself (1x).
To create and access new maps, you need to choose the following:
- Create a new map: Settings -> Map list -> Create a new map.
- Access the saved map: Settings -> Map list.
The update is not yet officially available in Slovakia and therefore we could not test this function on our editorial vacuum cleaner. We wonder when the update will arrive in Europe, but we expect it to happen in the coming days to weeks through a well-known application Xiaomi Home.
