Xiaomi has lacked tablet representation in recent years. The last tablet was Xiaomi Mi Pad 4, which debuted in 2018. The code in MIUI revealed up to three tablets in preparation.
The internal MIUI code told us something again
Examining the MIUI 12.5 internal code, several internal designations were found. Specifically, these are the names "nabu"," Enuma "and" elish ". We have seen that all three of these code names are referred to in methods such as "isPad", suggesting that some applications in MIUI will appear differently on tablets than on smartphones.
Even the alpha version of MIUI Home includes a new page that outlines gestures for controlling the environment tailored to your tablet. You can see them in the pictures below.
"Enuma" and "elish" appear to be the same tablets differing in the reception of the 4G / 5G signal, with one ending in K81 and the other ending in K81A. Meanwhile, "nabu" will be a separate product called the model, which ends with the K82. It seems that "enuma" will support voice calls, while "elish" and "nabu" will not, which suggests that only "enuma" will support mobile connections (4G / 5G).
An analysis of the source files from the Telegram XiaomiUI group shows that all three devices will have standard 16:10 aspect ratio displays, so they will not be flexible devices, but tablet models.
According to leakers, the display resolution of these three products will be 2560 × 1600 pixels. Each of these devices is expected to have an IPS LCD panel with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, while the "nabu" model is expected to be up to 144 Hz.
Inside, Snapdragon will be popular
Two of the tablets, "enuma" and "elish", will be powered by the sm8250 platform, which includes Snapdragon 865, 865+ and 870 processors. The third "nabu" tablet will be built on the sm8150 platform, which includes Snapdragon 855, 855+ and 860 processors.
It seems that Xiaomi will not deploy the most powerful Snapdragon 888, which could lead to an even better final price. Xiaomi will try to compete with the biggest players in the market, such as Apple and Samsung. Again, they could provide a great price / performance ratio, giving them a significant advantage. If there is a performance you can look forward to our detailed article.
