Xiaomi Book S: A new Chinese ultrabook with a slim design
A rather busy week full of new Xiaomi products awaits us. As early as March 15, 2022, the Chinese manufacturer should present at its global press conference news such as the Xiaomi 12, 12 Pro or the Xiaomi Watch S1 and S1 Active smart watches.
On the same day, the smartphone should be introduced at a Chinese press conference Redmi K50 and notebook RedmiBook Pro 2022. In addition, however, there have been new leaks that speak of an upcoming ultrabook labeled Xiaomi Book S.
We know from the source ITHome that the Chinese company Xiaomi is completing its preparations for a new ultrabook, which will excel especially in its thin and light design. It seems to be a convertible design that should be supplemented with the latest operating system in Windows 11 in terms of software.
Snapdragon processor and other interesting equipment
Additional technical specifications come from testing leaks from Geekbench. This tempting, upcoming ultrabook has been tested and we know that in at least one of its configurations it will offer a processr Qualcomm Snapdragon 8xx Gen 2.
It is an eight-core processor equipped with cores Kryo 495, being created specifically for laptops. The processor is manufactured by a 7 nm photolithographic manufacturing process and, in addition, should support fast 5G connectivity. We cannot omit 8 GB of RAM (unspecified memory type) or the integrated panel, which should have a diagonal 12,4".
It will be a relatively compact device, which will offer sufficient performance for advanced multitasking and office work. We don't know more about the technical specifications yet, but the news could be introduced in a few days, at the aforementioned Chinese Xiaomi press conference.
