In his testing, Mrwhosetheboss particularly highlighted the resulting sharpness of the photographic image and the level of detail offered. He directly compared the images from the additional Leica lens with the current flagship smartphone Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max However, the Leica also offers better blurred backgrounds and depth "portrait" photos. The software will then show itself in full on the night images.
Another area where he significantly helped the result Leica lens is professional high quality video recording. It was in this category that Mrwhosetheboss singled out the unique combination of photographic hardware (lenses) and flagship software (mobile application and firmware).
Leica M lens vs 1″ sensor on a smartphone
On the other hand, he also evaluated the negatives, which include, in addition to the dimensions of this combination, the fact that Leica M the lens is usually built for a larger sensor size than 1″. Its use is so unique, but the Xiaomi 12S Ultra Concept smartphone cannot take full advantage of it.

However, if you already install the additional lens and take advantage of the main sensor, you have to forgive yourself for using the remaining two sensors on the smartphone, due to their physical overlap.
However, this is still a premium smartphone concept. He shows us what the combination of mobile photography and flagship photographic technique would be like. Also for this reason, only three limited pieces were produced, which thus form an exceptional collector's piece of the combination of the Xiaomi and Leica brands.
