Spoločnosť Xiaomi plans a number of new products, including futuristic concepts such as the smartphone My MIX ALPHA. The great news is also the possibility of placing the front camera under the display, an option that is still to be considered in the future.
This time we bring you an explanation directly from the Xiaomi environment on the topic of how the mentioned technology works.
Wide angle and practical use
A new patent for a technology that could potentially appear, for example, within a smartphone has brought more light into the issue. Mi MIX 4. This is a patent called Display Structure and Electronic Equipment, which shows how the technology itself works or how it is possible that the display does not prevent light from passing into the front camera lens.
The technology can control every single pixel under which the photo sensor is located. This makes these pixels possible completely go out, that is, turn them off and do them practically transparent. This is the way the necessary light enters the lens.
As we can see in the patent sketches, the Xiaomi concept will offer enough wide viewing angle and can also implement a wide-angle selfie camera. When your task is complete, the camera is deactivated and the pixels are reactivated.
The user can again continue to benefit from a full-fledged screen without cutouts or other mechanical solutions of the camera, which could be worn out by demanding use.
We are wondering if the new technology will hit the market in the near future in one of the upcoming Xiaomi devices. We could learn more information at the upcoming exhibition Mobile World Congress 2020, which will take place in the first quarter of next year, traditionally in Barcelona, Spain.
