This is bad news for some owners of devices from the Chinese giant Xiaomi. The company suddenly ended support for up to 12 smartphones. They will no longer receive new beta versions of MIUI.
As reported by the portal MIUIs through the Telegram network, so on 12 models from the Xiaomi ecosystem, which also includes models from Redmi and POCO, already they will not receive updates to beta versions of the future MIUI superstructure.
End of 12 models
It refers specifically to the period from July 18 of next year. For clarification, stable versions of MIUI will continue to be updated and the smartphones will receive fixes for all the bugs that may occur from now on, provided that these smartphones are updated to the latest MIUI 13.
However, the smartphones will not be updated to beta versions or stable versions of the MIUI 13.5 or MIUI 14 extensions. The information concerns the current only Chinese versions of smartphones, but we think that the same fate awaits their global versions, because the development of global versions of MIUI is directly based on software that comes from China.
Here is a list of devices that are no longer supported by the manufacturer:
- Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro
- Xiaomi Mi 10
- Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite Zoom
- Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro
- Xiaomi Mi Note 10
- Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Pro
- Redmi K30 5G
- Redmi K30i 5G
- Redmi K30
- LITTLE X2
- LITTLE F2 Pro
It is understandable that Xiaomi is getting rid of older devices because it is fully preparing the superstructure MIUI 13.5, which will bring new functions that older pieces might not be able to handle.
The Chinese giant has many smartphones in its portfolio, so it will focus on them and their optimization. It was only a matter of time before it announced the end of support.
