projector Wanbo Mozart 1 we've already tested, but the manufacturer has come up with a slightly improved model that offers official Netflix support and a newer Android TV system. The novelty has a model name Wanbo Mozart 1 Pro.
In this review, we will not only look at the differences compared to the standard version without the Pro attribute, but we will also show what the Android TV system offers, what are the possibilities of its use, and we will share personal experiences from using it.

Equally high-quality double packaging
Double packaging, i.e. the use of two boxes for greater product protection, is always highly appreciated. With projectors from the Wanbo brand, this is perhaps already a matter of course, and it is no different in this case.
The Chinese manufacturer packages the projectors as a sample, and in addition to the two boxes, foam reinforcements also increase protection. In addition to the projector, the package includes only the remote control, power cable and user manual.
It's a shame that the manufacturer still doesn't include batteries in the remote control, so the projector could be ready for use right out of the box, even if we don't have extra batteries at home.
New color design
Since the design of the new model is exactly the same as the older one, we will distinguish them at least by color. You can only buy the older model in standard white, unlike the new model, which is produced in dark blue.
The dimensions are identical, the novelty has lost 20 grams in weight, otherwise the layout of all elements and ports is exactly the same.
As for the controls, nothing has changed here either. The projector only has one large round on/off button on the top, otherwise it is controlled by a remote control.
In the front, a sensor for automatic focusing is integrated in the cooling grid, and in the rear part there are individual ports. Specifically, we have a power port, USB, HDMI and a 3.5 mm port for connecting classic headphones.
On the side, the design element with the inscription WANBO & ACOUSTICS also attracts attention. It is a kind of bass membrane for better sound.
The image quality remains the same
Even Wanbo Mozart 1 in the basic version had a native resolution of 1080p with support for 4K decoding. These parameters have not changed even with the Pro model, and the brightness of 900 ANSI lumens has remained the same.
We expected at least a minor improvement in the image from the Pro model, although we can't say that it was bad for the older version. High image quality is again ensured by the technology of five lens layers, PixelPro 5.0.
The image has rich colors and high luminance will please you, thanks to which the projector can be used even in daylight with slight shading. Of course, the image is more beautiful in strong shadows or in complete darkness, but unlike cheaper models with low brightness, the image is relatively easy to see even in light.
Automatic focus and image size
As we mentioned earlier, the projector has a sensor for automatic image focus, which works very well. There is also automatic correction of the trapezoidal image, which is created if we do not have the projector perpendicular to the wall, but project the image slightly from the side. This function is also reliable, but this way the image often becomes significantly smaller and there is a problem with sharpness. In this case, it is not ideal over the entire surface of the image.
Wanbo Mozart 1 Pro can focus at a minimum distance from the screen or wall of 1.35 m and at a maximum distance of 3.3 m. Outside this range, the image is blurred. The size of the image also depends on the distance. At the lowest distance, the image is 55″ and at the highest, a maximum of 120″.
We don't know the exact hardware
Even in this case, the manufacturer does not provide the exact hardware specifications of the components used in the projector. All we know is that it has 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of ROM, Bluetooth version 5.0 and WiFi with support for both bands, 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz.
We do not know the WiFi version or the specific processor.
Newer Android and official Netflix support
With Chinese projectors, the system is often the biggest stumbling block. Manufacturers often use modified Android, which is overwhelmed by a lot of bloatware and various multimedia services that we do not even know in our region.
The Wanbo Mozart 1 Pro is an exception, as we have the standard Android TV system in version 11. This is where one of the changes occurred compared to the older version of the Mozart model, which had Android in version 9 with an extension from the manufacturer.
Another novelty is support for Widevine DRM L1 security, thanks to which the projector also receives official certification for Netflix. This means that you can enjoy multimedia content from the popular streaming platform in full resolution.
The system is not modified by design, so the appearance of the graphic environment corresponds to pure Android TV 11. On the home screen, we can only find the Netflix, YouTube, Google Play Movies and a selection of popular films or series from the Netflix and prime video platforms, or a few suggested applications from the Google Play store.

There is support for the Slovak and Czech languages. Unfortunately, the system is not perfectly smooth and its reactions to the remote control are slower than we would imagine. A delay can be seen between pressing the button on the controller and the action performed on the projector.
After the last Android update, this lag has improved significantly and the overall user experience is much better. The design of the environment has also changed slightly, which you can see on the screenshot below.
settings
In the settings of the projector itself, not of Android, you will find several options. The first are image corrections such as manually adjusting all four corners, sharpening, reducing the image or avoiding obstacles.
Furthermore, we can also find image settings, color temperatures (cool, warm, standard and custom) and adjustment of brightness, contrast and other parameters.
The following are the sound settings, which are not very well translated into Slovak. Here we can turn on or off the sound of the buttons or set one of the sound profiles, including our own with more detailed settings.
Remote control and sound
The remote control is compact with rubberized buttons that are pleasant to press and have a good response. It needs a pair of AAA batteries for operation, which are not included in the package.
It contains all standard buttons such as volume control, transition to the home screen, settings, voice control or source selection or projection settings and manual focus.
Thanks to the official certification of the projector, there are also separate buttons for quick access to well-known platforms – YouTube, Netflix, prime video and Disney+.
As for sound, the projector has two 8 W speakers that play really well. In terms of projectors, this is definitely one of the best performing projectors from Chinese manufacturers.
The noise of the projector itself is at a standard level and is not in any way disturbing during the day. In the evening, when there is complete silence, we perceive the projector more and we can slightly hear the fan running.
Content playback options
As we already mentioned, the Wanbo Mozart 1 Pro has Android 11 with the classic Google Play store for Android TV, where we can find a number of different applications. We personally used the Antik TV application to watch TV programs, but you can also find applications from other well-known providers such as Magio or Orange TV or Skylink.
For additional multimedia content, applications such as the popular KODI, VOYO, Disney+ and others are also available. In addition to applications, however, we also have other possibilities for using the projector.
It can also play multimedia content from a USB stick, or we can connect a laptop to it via HDMI. There is also support for sharing via chromecast from a smartphone. However, we had a problem here and we could not get wireless screen mirroring to work on any Android phone. Smartphones could not find the projector. But strangely, sharing to the projector from a smartphone via the YouTube app worked.
Wanbo Mozart 1 Pro: Final review
At first glance, the new Wanbo Mozart 1 Pro projector brings only small changes compared to the basic model, but they can be very beneficial for someone. This is mainly an official certification for Netflix, which it received thanks to the Widevine DRM L1 security.
The projector has a resolution of 1080p and a brightness of 900 ANSI lumens. It offers a clear and contrasting picture with the Android TV system in version 11. We also appreciate the high quality of the sound output.
The downside is occasional slower reactions and a noticeable delay between pressing a button on the controller and the action being performed. Although this lag improved after the last update and sometimes disappears completely, it can be annoying at times.
