After the first unpacking, there is the soundbar itself on top, which is wrapped in a protective foil and there are also safety elements in the form of soft polystyrene materials.
The package also includes a brief Chinese manual, accessories for wall mounting and accessories in the form of a power cord with a Chinese plug or a standard audio "cinch" cable for connection to some TVs.
Despite the fact that when ordering, the manufacturer declares that the package will also include a reduction to the local European socket plug, in our case this did not happen. We had to buy these necessary accessories separately.
Device layout
At first glance, it is clear that this is an affordable, yet elegantly designed device. Its dimensions were stopped at 780 x 64 x 63 mm and the weight was then 1,5 kg.
Redmi TV soundbar is made of matt but high-quality ABS plastic material in black. The front wall offers a grille behind the speakers. There is also a blue LED in the center of this grille to indicate speaker connection and use.
There is a knurled texture on the sides along with the speaker control buttons on the right. These are four buttons that are used to turn the device on and off, adjust the volume and select individual playback modes (depending on the connection).

The underside includes rubber non-slip feet for comfortable placement, and the back has a cut-out for wall mounting and a cut-out for the appropriate connectors for connecting power and audio cables.
The processing itself is at a very good level and despite the plastic materials, nothing cracks and all materials fit perfectly. In the given price category, there are also worse processed Bluetooth speakers also made of plastic materials, which is a plus for Redmi TV Soundbar.
Connectivity: A necessary foundation
When it comes to connecting this device, we have both wired and wireless connections. First, however, to the standard cable connection.
There is a pair of connectors on the back, it is the mentioned standard "cinch" connector and 3,5 mm audio jack. These two options can be used to connect to your TV or computer. The sound is very clear and it also has high-quality mid and high tones. However, its tuning is aimed more at younger users with a strong bass component.
Although the speaker does not have separate and active subwoofers, the manufacturer has done a very good job and we can easily compare the sound delivery of this speaker with twice as expensive Bluetooth speakers. A very good feature is the preserved and approximately the same sound quality for wired as well as wireless connection.
It might seem that targeting the young user will be focused mainly on hip-hop and pop, but the speaker will not be embarrassed even with punk and rock songs. The individual instruments are easily recognizable and the bass does not distort the composition too much. In the given price category, the speaker pleasantly surprised us in terms of sound.

If we were to mention the biggest disadvantage of this speaker, it will not be a plastic body or a cable with a Chinese terminal, but it will be the absence of a remote control. All functions only need to be controlled directly on the speaker body with the buttons on the side.
The disadvantage lies in particular in the convenience of operation, as each step, volume control, mode change, switching the device on and off, contains a separate physical button. The remote control that we can know from more expensive speakers is the biggest compromise in the low price of the device.
