It arrived at our editorial desk POCO F6 Pro, which caught our attention immediately after unpacking the box. This is a subjective view, but the design of the back of the smartphone just got us. We had the black version available (there's also a white edition that's sure to be gorgeous too) and it's one of the nicest smartphones in its price range.
We have no doubt about that. We were not disappointed even after turning on the phone. Which aspects interested us the most and what did we like less about the phone? Read on, the review begins on POCO F6 Pro.

Contents of the package
The sales packaging is tuned to black and yellow colors, as is already the case for the brand POCO by habit. Its content is the phone itself, 120 W charging adapter, white charging cable with terminals USB-A to USB-C and it's not missing either gray silicone cover. A protective film is pre-applied to the display. Of course, at the end there are also user manuals together with a tool for selecting a slot for two nanoSIM cards.
Design
It was the design that was our favorite, if not our favorite part of this smartphone's hardware. The beautiful mosaic-like appearance of the back side particularly appealed to us. But that's just our opinion. The back side is made of frosted glass. The sides of the device are made of aluminum. The upper part of the back side is made of glossy glass and on its left side there are four circular elements.
It is of course three camera lenses and an LED flash. Overall, the phone looks premium. Relatively thin and almost symmetrical frames around the screen also contribute to this. Only the lower chin is slightly thicker. With weight 209 grams and dimensions 160,9 x 75 x 8,2 mm sa POCO F6 Pro ranks among the medium-sized smartphones of today. Certification is a nice addition IP54, which means slightly increased resistance to water and dust. Using the phone in light rain will not be a problem, but it is better to avoid water completely.
Display, fingerprint scanner and speakers
One of the specialties POCO F6 Pro is his Quad HD + AMOLED display. With precise resolution 1440 x 3200 pixels, density at the level 526 pixels per inch and maximum (peak) brightness 4000 rivets it is probably the best display in the given price category. You can manually set the brightness to maximum 1200 rivets and higher values can be achieved by automatic regulation, for example in direct sunlight.
Of course, the screen also has a high, 120 Hz refresh rate, supports technology Dolby Vision, HDR10 + and is characterized by 68 billion colors. The panel is protected by durable glass Corning Gorilla Glass 5 it has a protective film on it from the factory. The response of the display is top-notch, as is the color presentation. We don't even have to talk about viewing angles anymore. An optical fingerprint scanner is hidden under the display, which responds excellently. It is fast and always accurate. The way we imagine it.
POCO F6 Pro pleasantly surprises with its stereo sound output. It is quite loud and does not lack a hint of bass component. We really have nothing to complain about. It is more optimal to use headphones for listening to music, but only wireless ones. 3,5 mm audio jack is not available on the smartphone, but you probably expected that.
Performance
POCO F6 Pro it has the flagship chipset of the last generation in its guts, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2. However, from the point of view of gross performance, it is a better choice than using the current chip designed for the middle class. The result is a more affordable smartphone with performance that can be compared even with current top models. There are memory variants with 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB internal storage. Further expansion using a microSD card is not possible.
There are versions with 12 GB a 16 GB operating memory. We dare say that you won't notice the difference between them at this time. In practice, you will get the most smooth user experience. Opening applications and multitasking is extremely fast, there is no problem even playing the most demanding games. You can see how it works on the attached screenshots POCO F6 Pro it does well in popular benchmark applications. In terms of performance, the phone will feel like a flagship.
Cameras
smartphones POCO are generally not among the top in terms of cameras. We were also convinced of this fact POCO F6, which produced at most only average results that often look dull. However, the situation is different in this case POCO F6 Pro. The difference between these models is profound. POCO F6 Pro it takes pictures as if it were from a completely different category, and we are not exaggerating that.
Compared to the competition and others POCO devices, the "Pro" version is significantly better in every aspect. The photos have nice and true colors, great contrast and a high level of detail both during the day in the shadows in the photo and at night. We were really very satisfied with the results. The phone can also satisfy with the video quality, but we noticed that the primary sensor often oversharpens unnecessarily during filming, which is distracting.
Below are photos from POCO F6 Pro and in selected cases also from POCO F6, give you an idea of how big a difference you can expect. They will serve as proof that it is worth paying extra for the "Pro" version if you are interested in taking a lot of photos with your new smartphone. To the primary sensor on POCO F6 Pro second is the ultra-wide-angle lens, which is average, and there is also a macro sensor. On the other hand, it is very decent and, compared to other macro sensors, really impressed us with its qualities.

Battery and charging
Battery life is average to very good. On average, we waited 5-6 hours with the display on on one charge. Your phone will definitely last all day long and when you humble yourself, turn off functions that you are not currently using and will not take many photos or perform demanding activities, the reality is also 1,5-day endurance.
A big advantage is the possibility of fast energy supply during the day, if needed. In the package you will find up to 120 W the charger. You get a full charge within half an hour. After an hour of watching a YouTube video at medium brightness, the battery indicator dropped 8%.

Operating system
POCO F6 Pro has installed Android 14 with a graphical interface HyperOS. It differs from the older superstructure in terms of appearance and functions MIUI 14 not much different. If you used before Xiaomi, Redmi or POCO device, you will definitely find your way around the system and get used to it. HyperOS it has a new font style that we activated during the initial setup. It fits the phone very well. There is also a new, redesigned control center.
The user interface is very smooth and the animations never got stuck. Optimization is at a high level. Again, the manufacturer did not allow himself to add a large number of pre-installed applications. Most of them are games or social networks in the form of Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok. On the attached screenshots, you can see folders with some pre-installed applications, which in most cases we recommend you to uninstall straight away. Incidentally, the same is true for POCO F6.
Connectivity
POCO F6 Pro it has everything important in terms of connectivity that you could ask for these days. It's about Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC or about the number of location services used worldwide. There is also an infrared port for remote control of electronics, such as a TV, projector or air conditioner.
USB-C port it is in version 2.0 and of course there is OTG support for data transfer, for example, between a phone and a flash drive. We had no problem with the intensity of the received signal. Phone calls were also trouble-free.
POCO F6 Pro: Final Evaluation: Should I Buy Basic or “Pro” Version?
You'll pay an extra hundred and it's great POCO F6 you can suddenly have POCO F6 Pro. With our special offers, buying these two smartphones is almost like a steal. For your money, they offer an extraordinary ratio of price and equipment. Which model to choose? If you don't mind paying extra 100 €, POCO F6 Pro is an overall better smartphone. It has an even better display, slightly higher performance and, in our opinion, a significantly more attractive design.
POCO F6 Pro on a single charge lasts compared to POCO F6 a bit shorter, but for that you get noticeably faster charging. In what POCO F6 Pro compared to the basic edition, however, it really excels, are the photos. If you like to take pictures with your phone and you know that you will be taking photos with it quite often, you should definitely pay extra and get the "Pro" version.
If you don't care about photos and prefer to save as much money as possible, buy more efficiently POCO F6. On paper, its performance is lower, but in practice we didn't really notice a big difference. We can just say that POCO F6 Pro will offer higher and more stable in games. However, our final verdict remains unequivocal. You definitely won't make a mistake by buying a single smartphone. We give both models a big thumbs up and they have our recommendation.
