Redmi Note 12 Pro+ is brutal: 200 MPx main camera with OIS and record 210 W charging!

Chinese manufacturer Redmi has also prepared for us an improved version of its Note 12 series with a label Redmi Notes 12 Pro +. It will offer up to a 200 MPx camera sensor on the back, as well as several functional and design improvements.

Redmi Note 12 Pro+: OLED display and Mediatek Dimensity 1080 5G

The manufacturer stands by his side Pro + models, he prepared design modifications in the form of premium materials and a rounded back wall, which, however, still contains a matte finish that is resistant to fingerprints. Even in this case, we have partial resistance available with IP 53 certification, against water and dust.

There is an identical one on the front 6,67 ″ OLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 px, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and support for Dolby Vision or HDR10+ technology. The maximum brightness reaches up to 900 nits and also has 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming technology.

The entire Note 12 smartphone series also has a common processor, which is a 6 nm chip Mediatek Dimensity 1080 5G, complete with GPU Mali-G68 MP4. The Note 12 Pro+ model will offer up to 12 GB RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage, depending on configuration.

200 MPx main sensor and powerful 120 W charging

But the big improvements have taken place on the back. Model Redmi Notes 12 Pro + contains up to 200 MPx Samsung HPX rear camera (f/1.65 aperture, 2,24 μm, 7P lens) with 1/1,56″ pixel size and improved optical image stabilization, which the manufacturer himself labeled as "XL stabilization".

The photographic setup is then completed by an 8 MPx wide-angle sensor with a 119° viewing angle and a 2 MPx macro lens. The camera can record video in 4K resolution at 30 fps and there is a 16 MPx selfie camera at the front.

Other equipment includes integrated stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos technology, an NFC chip for mobile payments and a 3,5 mm audio connector for connecting standard headphones.

The equipment also includes a 5000 mAh battery with fast charging support up to 120 W. A compatible GaN charger from Xiaomi will be included in the package.

Price and availability of a new smartphone

Redmi Notes 12 Pro + goes on sale in the Chinese market from October 31, 2022. It will be available in white, blue, black and pink. We don't have any other information available about international availability yet.

These are the official Chinese selling prices in conversion, in individual configurations:

• 8 GB RAM + 256 GB internal storage for only 2099 Chinese yuan (introductory offer only €289)
• 12 GB RAM + 256 GB internal storage for only 2299 Chinese yuan (introductory offer only €316)

The manufacturer will also offer a unique one on the Chinese market Racing Edition, which will be characterized by a different and exemplary processing of the rear wall. It will offer a green-black combination and will be sold exclusively in the Chinese market. This is the official retail price of this limited edition, along with the unique accessories included in the package:

Redmi Note 12 Pro+ Discovery Edition: Record 210 W charging

In addition, the manufacturer has also prepared a special edition for Chinese customers Redmi Note 12 Pro+ Discovery Edition. It offers extreme functional improvements 210 W charging, which we have not seen before on a Xiaomi smartphone (to full capacity in just 9 minutes).

However, with such performance, a smartphone also requires high-quality cooling. This will be ensured by the elaborated Vapor Chamber technology with plates at the level of up to 3000 mm². The battery of this smartphone has a lower capacity 4300 mAh, but also the thickness, which just fell short of 9 millimeters.

A compatible GaN charger will also be included in the package. However, it will probably be a limited smartphone and will probably not reach the borders of China.

The price of this device on the domestic, Chinese market is at the level of:
