We are not writing about the international e-shop TradingShenzhen.com for the first time, and if you are watching our website, you must have heard about this trader. We recently bought a new Xiaomi Mi 11 from them and wrote down our shopping experience in a detailed article.
You will also find shopping experience in the Xiaomi Planet group
As we were very surprised by the quality of services and the speed of delivery, we decided to buy from them again. Another flagship from Xiaomi production, respectively from the Redmi brand. Expected smartphone Redmi K40 Pro.
Speed of delivery at EU level of warehouses
We realized our order for the Redmi K40 Pro smartphone on March 7.3.2021, 8, when we also paid it out. The 128 + 493 GB smartphone cost us € 9.3. Two days later, on March XNUMX, we received an e-mail about the sent package, along with the tracking number. We chose Global Priority transport, basically the only one available for this smartphone with delivery to Slovakia.
Redmi K40 Pro Chinese Version (with B20 LTE)
Although the postage was higher than € 16, the customer really gets what he pays for. Already on March 17, that is 8 days after dispatch, a courier with a package rang in front of our door. Ladies and gentlemen, this is called the speed and quality of delivery!
In addition, the package arrived quickly from Shenzhen, China, where the seller has a warehouse and a headquarters. The speed of Global Priority transport is equal to the speed of delivery from European warehouses, from where it sometimes takes 7-10 days.
We must not forget the fact that we are on delivery did not pay any additional fees, as the customs procedure, including customs duties and VAT, was handled directly for us by the seller. The packages reach the customer already customs cleared.
All the time, it was possible to follow the exact route of the package via the 17track page and see each step. In the morning on the day of delivery, we received an SMS message that the package will be delivered to us. Transportation from China to Europe is provided by the company YunExpress, within Slovakia it is delivered by DPD courier.
The perfect "unboxing experience"
TradingShenzhen presents itself as a "trader with unique services". This has already been confirmed to us when we last ordered the Xiaomi Mi 11 smartphone. Not only the speed of delivery, but also the packaging itself and the security of the entire shipment against damage is really precise.
The box with the phone itself is wrapped in three more layers of foil and packaging. You might say it's an unnecessary waste, but if you order a phone from China for € 500 or more, you don't want to get damaged. Of course, the seller himself does not want this and provides shipments by example.
When unboxing, we were surprised by a gift in the form of an OTG reduction from USB Type-C to a classic USB-A connector and also a reduction from a Chinese adapter to a European one. It is a cheaper reduction, so we recommend buying a higher quality one. However, it will certainly suffice as a temporary solution.
As in the case of the Mi 11 model, this time we found a kind of "protocol" in the package about testing important functions of the smartphone. TradingShenzhen technicians test each piece of the smartphone so that the customer does not receive a broken piece.
Redmi K40 Pro in Chinese version: Worth buying?
It pays off. In the case of the Redmi K40 Pro model, the Chinese version can also be used in Europe without any problems or restrictions. Thanks to the Snapdragon 888 processor, it includes complete support for mobile networks in Europe, including the LTE B20 band (800 MHz frequency).
Although the smartphone currently only comes with the Chinese version of MIUI, it contains the English language, and what's more, the seller will install functional Google Play services on your smartphone, so the phone can be used out of the box. If you would like to install Slovak / Czech language on your phone, this is possible thanks to a modified ROM from Xiaomi.eu / Miuios.cz.
Xiaomi.eu ROM is based on the Chinese version of MIUI and is supplemented by a complete localization, including translations into languages not only from all over Europe. However, the installation process is not completely for everyone, the procedure is more technically demanding. First you need to unlock the bootloader of the smartphone (process for 1-2 weeks), then load the TWRP recovery menu and then the system.
As for the global version of the Redmi K40 Pro, it is rumored that the smartphone will be available outside of China, but under a different name. There is talk of variants like POCO F3 Pro or Xiaomi Mi 11i.
We have already started testing and you will soon find a detailed review on our website. If you have any questions about the smartphone or the TradingShenzhen store, feel free to ask in the comments. Well, probably the first thing I'm interested in is whether NFC will work without problems on the "xiaomi.eu" version. Basically all the smartphone functions we are used to here in Europe. Since this is a hot candidate for my Mi8 replacement and yet, sending €500 to China is a bit risky, so I'm also curious about the European variant and its price. I am very much looking forward to the review. 🙂
