A few hours ago, we witnessed the introduction of new flagships from the Redmi from the K30 series. A total of 2 models were introduced - K30 Pro and K30 Pro Zoom.
We have described a detailed summary of phones globally in our article, but now let's take a closer look at the differences between these smartphones.
The main difference is in the cameras
The first, fundamental difference concerns cameras and their features. Below you will find a detailed description of the sensors:
Redmi K30 Pro | Redmi K30 ProZoom | |
---|---|---|
Primary sensor | 64 MPx Sony IMX 686 Exmor RS | 64 MPx Sony IMX 686 Exmor RS |
Aperture f / 1.89 | sensor size 1 / 1.7 ″ | 1.6 µm | Aperture f / 1.89 | sensor size 1 / 1.7 ″ | 1.6 µm | |
6P lens | 7P lens (transmits more light) | |
Electronic image stabilization | 4-axis optical stabilization | |
8K 30 fps | 4K 60 fps video | 8K 30 fps | 4K 60 fps video | |
Wide angle sensor | 13 MPx | angle of view 123 ° | 13 MPx | angle of view 123 ° |
telephoto lens | 5 MPx | designed for macro photos | 8 MPx | 3x optical zoom | 30x digital |
No stabilization | 4-axis optical stabilization | |
Portrait sensor | 2 MPx | pixel size 1.75 μm | 2 MPx | pixel size 1.75 μm |
As you may have noticed, the first difference is in the main sensor. Redmi K30 Pro, unlike K30 Pro Zoom, does not have 4-axis optical stabilization, but only electronic.
The main Redmi K30 Pro Zoom sensor also has one more lens - it has a total of 7, compared to the K30 Pro, which has 6. As a result, Zoom will give slightly better results as more light gets through the sensor.
The second difference concerns telephoto lenses. The Redmi K30 Pro has an implemented 5 MPx telephoto lens designed for beautifully detailed macro photos, with a focal length equivalent of up to 50 mm, which most closely resembles human vision and is able to focus at close distances from 3 to 7 cm. Like the main sensor, it does not have optical stabilization.
The telephoto lens in the Redmi K30 Pro Zoom comes with an amazing 30x digital and 3x optical zoom and also has 4-axis optical stabilization. It follows that only the Zoom model has the mentioned dual optical stabilization.
In the cheapest version, Redmi took off
The Redmi K30 Pro is available in 6 GB / 8 GB RAM and 128 GB / 256 GB storage configurations. The cheapest configuration, 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, as the only one comes with older LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 3.0 storage.
All other configurations, including the Redmi K30 Pro Zoom, have a newer and more powerful LPDDR5 RAM module as well as internal UFS 3.1 memory.
So far, these are all the differences we currently know about. The phone belongs to the top in its category and no wonder. The best processor, excellent cameras, fast storage and many other aspects rightly rank this smartphone among the flagship killers.
The basic configuration of the Redmi K30 Pro in the version of 6 GB RAM + 128 GB memory starts at a price of around 394 € / 11 00 CZK. It was this version that got a little slower memory, which you will hardly recognize in reality. The complete Chinese price list of K30 Pro and K30 Pro Zoom can be found in our article on the introduction of smartphones.
However, the prices available so far are only for the Chinese market and we do not yet have any official information on global availability.
