Today, within the popular MIUI tips section, we will take a look at the cleaning function that will work on your smartphone. Finally, we will show you how to quickly activate the dark mode.
MIUI is packed with features
For many Xiaomi and Redmi smartphone users, we can say that the MIUI software interface is one of the reasons why we use smartphones of these brands. We have loved MIUI since the first Xiaomi smartphones, which came into our hands and we still like it today.
Behind the success of MIUI is a simple and clear user environment and many exceptional functions that we will not find in the menu of smartphones of other brands. Another significant advantage is the fact that MIUI developers listen to the voice of users and testers and try to incorporate their comments into the software.
The Cleanup application frees your smartphone from unnecessary content
In the past, this has become more common, but with the advent of high-capacity storage in smartphones, memory is no longer frequently used. I'm sure you've come across the announcement that you don't have enough free storage space on your phone.
With the advent of 32 or more gigabyte storage in devices, the problem seems to have disappeared, but that doesn't mean the internal memory doesn't need to be cleaned up from time to time.
MIUI has a very handy and complex application for this, which will help with simple as well as deep cleaning. Its name in Slovak is Cleaning - originally Cleaner and its task is to keep the system free of unnecessary files.
However, there is no need to exaggerate with cleaning, because some seemingly unnecessary files can belong to a specific application and ensure its fast start-up. Application Cleaning it works intuitively and in basic mode it evaluates itself which files are suitable for deletion.
When launched, it quickly scans the repository and selects files in Cache, Advertising, Installation Applications, Balances, and Memory. The user can simply click on the icon Clean up run a quick cleanup, or you can simply click a specific item to choose which files to keep on your smartphone.
After clicking on the icon Mallets in the upper right corner, the user has a form of deep cleaning available. There you can choose from photos, applications, cache and large files.
The advantage is that the user does not have to click through many applications and does everything quickly and clearly in one place.
Check the status of the official MIUI account on Twitter, which briefly shows the use of the Cleaning application:

Quick activation of dark mode
With the advent of Android 10 came also dark mode menu and individual application interfaces. It is becoming more and more popular, and thanks to the uniqueness of the MIUI extension, this mode can also be tried out by users whose smartphones do not yet have Android 10. A smartphone with MIUI 11 is enough for that.
Dark mode is less bright, which saves eyesight and energy on smartphones with an AMOLED display. Now we will show you in simple steps how to quickly activate the dark mode.
- launch the application settings and select an item in its menu Screen
- in settings screens, select an item Dark mode
- in settings Dark mode all you have to do is activate the mode by clicking on the switch
Even in this case, you can watch a short instructional video of the official MIUI account on Twitter:
