Official statement on the development of MIUI came just a few days ago. However, this was only a formal announcement and most likely programmers already have some of the basic software pillars created.

For example, Xiaomi is updating her smartphones, but not forever
Again, nothing lasts forever, and some older smartphones will no longer be updated to MIUI 12. At the same time, Xiaomi is known to take care of the software on its devices, and many other manufacturers should take an example from this brand.
There are, however, objective reasons to prevent upgrades to increasingly new versions of operating systems or extensions such as MIUI. This may be due to lower performance, outdated hardware, or insufficient memory, but also for other reasons. Informed about it czech blog XM.cz.

However, the list of smartphones does not have to be final and only successful tests of the manufacturer as well as beta testers on real devices will decide the porting of stable software versions.
Both lists of smartphones need to be taken with caution, as it remains a few months until the release of MIUI 12, and anything can change during that time. Also, websites that have published lists do not point to any trusted source.
