The new Xiaomi Mi 11 flagship model series also brings with it an updated version of the MIUI 12.5 user interface. This is a fairly large update, which will be for most Xiaomi smartphone owners, Redmi a POCO very beneficial.
MIUI 12.5 brings a better user experience
The new MIUI 12.5 focuses primarily on system optimization. The phone should be potentially faster due to changes in the System UI and there should be more free space in the internal memory. Animations that are able to create the effect of extreme fluidity of the environment have also been improved.
The novelty brings only nine basic applications in order to maintain as much free storage space as possible. Other pre-installed applications can be uninstalled without any problems. Compared to MIUI 12, the system should also have even lower energy consumption.
The manufacturer claims that the superstructure is able to save up to 25% more energy from the battery. For a good feeling of the environment, the Chinese giant also decided to add new super backgrounds "Mountain Snow" and a lot of smooth transitions. We have to admit that the new super background looks really stunning and the background behind the mountain changes fundamentally from the current time.
Improved haptic response, animations and many other improvements
Xiaomi will also offer users new sound effects that can be set for ringtones, notifications or alarms. Many of them are inspired by nature. You will find just over 120 of these sound effects here. A well-thought-out haptic response is also appreciated for a good feeling of use.
Therefore, you will definitely enjoy the presence of Mi Haptic technology, which will take care of interesting vibrations across the system. The so-called 4D effect has also been added to the MIUI keyboard itself.
Emphasis is also placed on user security and privacy. For example, such a Mi Browser will make sure that the displayed content is safe. Therefore, it always verifies each visited page in advance. However, the topic of security does not end here, and Xiaomi added that more than 400 applications can access the content you have copied to your clipboard.
New MIUI + mode
The new MIUI will try to prevent applications from "looking" into the clipboard with copied content. Furthermore, the add-on can eliminate access to your exact location from individual applications. Your apps that do not depend on the current location, such as maps, will only receive an approximate location.
If one of the installed applications needs to have the right to read photos in memory, the system can separate the photos from other files on the device so that the application cannot know everything you have on your mobile.
All this is made up for the perfect privacy of the user. A feature called MIUI + can then connect your phone to a personal computer running Windows.
Thanks to it, you can watch incoming notifications, copy text from a computer to your phone and vice versa or work with the device as if it had a big screen. Applications such as the file manager are specially designed for convenient keyboard and mouse control.
Several well-known smartphones will receive the update
There is a well-known list of smartphones that are compatible with the just introduced version of the MIUI 12.5 graphical superstructure. Additional phones may be added in the future. These models are:
- Xiaomi Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, 10 Ultra and Mi 10 Youth Edition.
- Redmi K30, K30 5G, K30 Pro 5G, K30i 5Gv, K30S Ultra and K30 Ultra
- Xiaomi Mi 9 and Mi 9 SE.
- Xiaomi Mi CC9e and Mi CC9 Pro.
- Redmi K20 and K20 Pro.
- Redmi 10X 5G and 10X Pro 5G.

You will have to wait some time for the update, but if you have a device with a global ROM, it is clear that phones with Chinese-based firmware installed will receive the new MIUI a little earlier.
And I will turn off Phone and Messages via Hidden Settings for MIUI, replace it with an alternative from Google 🙂
