The latest version of the popular software extension MIUI 11 has already been officially introduced and the manufacturer is gradually updating all Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones. It will be almost two months since the release of the eleventh version of MIUI, but some users have still not received the update.
The update can also be done manually
If you are one of those users who have not yet received the new version of MIUI, you can manually download the latest version of the software and install it yourself. We offer you a simple guide on how to do this, but first we must warn you that you do everything of your own free will and at your own risk.
Xiaomi Planet is not liable for any damage to the device. But don't worry, the instructions are verified and tested. All settings and files should remain intact, however you'd better make a backup before updating.

First you need to find out what version of MIUI your smartphone has. In the section settings click on the item About phone and you will find the MIUI Version in it. Note the fourth and fifth letters, which are in parentheses after the version number.
This indicates the version of your smartphone. If there are letters CN, this is the Chinese version, the letters MI denote global and EU again the European version.
Then we will need the application DOWN, which will download the latest version of MIUI directly to your smartphone. You can find the application in Play Store, you need to download, install and open it. However, you can also use website.
In the menu of the Downmi application, select your device, then the ROM type - ie the software package. It can be Global, EU or China.
In the last link, select the specific software version and start the download. In the case of Redmi Note 7, the ROM package has approximately 1,81 GB and saved to a folder Download in English.
After downloading the ROM we will need to run the installation. We achieve this by v settings we go back to the item About phonewhere we choose System update. You must enable additional update options in this section.
To activate, finger-click on the MIUI version number, and after about six to ten clicks, you'll see that Additional update options are allowed.
Then click on icon with three dots in the upper right corner and select an option Select ZIP from storage. In the EU version of the phone, this item may also be named Select the update package.
You will then be redirected to the file manager where in the folder Download in English you select to download the package with the new ROM. You will wait for the update to take place and the phone will restart.
