Older models will no longer receive updates
The Chinese giant through its official site published a list of devices from Xiaomi and Redmi, for which official support from the company has ended and the models will no longer receive any official system updates or security patches.
Xiaomi also recently announced new update policy and for supported smartphones, has released Android version numbers that will receive and for as long as a particular smartphone receives security updates.
This list was updated on March 29, 2022. The list is quite extensive, but all the devices have been on the market for quite some time. It's time to replace them with newer models.
