Xiaomi revived the information about his first electric car at a conference where she presented the possibilities of her autonomous driving. Now we know a little more about the estimated price of this electric car from Xiaomi.
We also know that the Chinese government is doing this project minor problems and at the same time we learn to which segment this electric car from Xiaomi will belong.
Research revealed the price
Almost a year ago, research was conducted on the Chinese social network Weibo, where the company asked people how much they would be willing to pay for an electric car from Xiaomi. Less than 1% voted for the converted price at the time 43 500 eur.
Although the initial investment in the project in the amount of 500 million euros it is not small, anyway, based on partnerships with other companies, it could mean that the car from Xiaomi will be among the cheapest electric cars on the market.
We will probably see two versions
It is said that we will see two versions of this electric car: the cheaper version will work with 400 V and the other will bring 800 V, a more powerful drive system and greater driving autonomy.
HESAI, a manufacturer of LiDAR scanners and radars, was one of the first to join the project. They are an integral part of autonomous driving.
They are also called ADAS and are able to detect other vehicles, objects and people in front and behind the vehicle and also check if any vehicle is in the driver's blind spot.
The first electric car from Xiaomi should start mass production in 2024 with annual volume 300 cars produced. The price should not exceed converted to 44 euros, so at least this should be the amount for a less basic version. That would still be a lower price than its American competitor, Tesla.

I am skeptical about future prices, especially for the Chinese market. While it will be on the market and available to Slovaks. Maybe in the end it won't even be cheaper than Tesla
