Do you like Xiaomi, Redmi or POCO smartphones, but you don't want to have a lot in your new smartphone pre-installed applications? We have a solution. Spanish community miuies.com has published a portal with a tool through which you can get rid of these mentioned "bloatware" titles.
How to uninstall "bloatware" from Xiaomi smartphone?
The MIUI graphical extension offers a large number of pre-installed applications, many of which you don't even use. These applications, known as "bloatware", can now be removed without any third-party application.
The original idea came from the Ya-WebADB project developed by yume-chan in China. It has now been translated and edited by the MIUIes community. Uninstalling pre-installed applications is now easier than ever.
The new tool is based on the WebUSB API, so Chrome will suffice to control it. Just go to the site adb.miuies.com and connect your Xiaomi, Redmi or POCO smartphone to your computer.
Just a few simple steps
Before you uninstall unwanted applications, you need to take a few steps on your smartphone as well. First, you need to activate developer mode. If you don't have it active yet, just click MIUI Version in the settings a few times.
Then you need to go to Settings - Additional settings - Developer options. In this menu you also need to activate the items USB debugging, Install via USB and USB debugging (Security settings).
After completing these steps, we can switch to Chrome (or a Chromium-based alternative) to adb.miuies.com. There we enter the following steps.
Just click on "Add device" and select your smartphone from the list that appears. If you performed the previous steps correctly, your device should appear. Select it and click on "Connect".
When your device is properly connected, you can go to the left menu and select the "Uninstall Bloatware" option. Then you have the choice of "Uninstall all system applications," "Uninstall all Xiaomi applications" or you can remove individual applications from your smartphone. The choice in this case is up to you.
