This time we will present one of the security solutions of the Xiaomi ecosystem. Aqara smoke detector works in NB-IoT technology and warns of imminent danger.
Despite the low price, it can save lives and property
Aqara smoke detector works on NB-IoT technology (Narrow Band Interent Of Things), a narrowband network of the Internet of Things. The device has dimensions 100 x 50 mm and its weight is only 90 g. The package includes a wall bracket along with screws and dowels.
Its main function is to detect smoke in the room and thus detect the impending fire in the place where it is installed. If this occurs, the detector will sound a loud siren to alert you to the danger. The sound of the siren reaches up to 80 dB.
A product of the Aqara brand is fully compatible with Mi Home. It will also send a notification of a possible alarm to the user's smartphone, and thanks to this, you will learn about the threat of a fire even if you are far from the affected place.
NB-IoT. What does it mean?
New Aqara smart smoke detector works on NB-IoT technology (Narrow Band Interent Of Things), a narrowband network of the Internet of Things. This allows it to be connected to other intelligent Xiaomi devices for even greater security.
For example, the connection is possible with a Xiaomi smart socket. As soon as the detector detects smoke, it can automatically turn off the power to the smart socket.
Another example is the connection to a security camera Aqara G2, which will immediately send a video recording to your phone in the event of a fire. Thanks to this, you know exactly in which room the fire occurred and you can hit much earlier.
